Interesting also that this fits in well with the Blue Zones populations, renowned for their healthspans and lifespans Largely (but not exclusively) plant-based), unprocessed foods, some fasting etc. The thing I find a bit compelling about the Blue Zones studies is that they went looking for the longest lived populations without any of the predetermined biases that are so common in today's diet wars. The fact that the five longest-lived populations (out of all the possible populations on earth) happened to be largely whole food plant-based makes it a pretty good option to place you lifestyle betting chips on.
